244, [4] pp. 21x15 cm. Original illustrated wrappers designed by Andrei Khudiakov. Slight soiling of the front wrapper, but otherwise very good. Inscribed by one of the authors Elena Malozemova on the title page.

First edition. Text in Russian.

An important collection of original literary works, memoirs, and critical essays by Russian female émigré authors.

The poetry section features work by Tatiana Smirnova-Maksheeva, Evgeniya Berestovskaya, Olga Birintseva, Nonna Belavina, Natalia Dudorova, Elena Presnyakova, Alexandra Vasilkovskaya, Tatyana Fesenko, Orsich, Evgenia Markova, Olga Dartau, Ella Bobrova, Evgenia Dimer, Margarita Meyendorf, Nina Oshurkova, Olga Kritskaya, Tatyana Drizhenko, and Lidiya Alekseeva. Among the notable memoirs are an essay by E. Malozemova on Nina Fyodorova, an article by Olga Ilyina describing the inaugural meeting of the San Francisco Literary and Art Circle, and excerpts from Alexander Debbet-Renning’s My Fifty Years in Emigration.
